Secret Service installs bulletproof glass for Trump's outdoor rally in North Carolina
At his first outdoor rally since the attempted assassination, Trump will try to counter the DNC and secure the key battleground state
The Secret Service has installed bulletproof glass at former President Donald Trump's Wednesday rally in North Carolina. This is his first outdoor rally since the one last month in which a sniper attempted to assassinate him.
A "special see-through protective barrier" will separate Trump, now the GOP presidential nominee, from rallygoers, according to The Washington Examiner.
The sniper at the July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, shot from a rooftop about 150 yards away from the stage and outside of the Secret Service's inner security ring that included magnetometers, which has prompted several investigations into agency lapses and promises for a review of and improvements to policies and practices.
