Trump blasts Jewish Democrats and warns 'Israel is gone' if Harris wins in November

Former President Donald Trump took shots at Vice President Kamala Harris and Jewish Democrats in an address on Thursday night, warning voters that "Israel is gone" if Harris is elected as president in November.
Trump has increased his criticism of Jewish Democrats since the onset of the war in Gaza, including by accusing Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of being a "proud member of Hamas," despite his support for Israel. He's also claimed that Jewish voters who support Democrats hate "everything about Israel" and their religion.
The former president addressed the Republican Jewish Coalition during their annual retreat in Las Vegas, and urged Jewish voters to have their "heads examined" if they support the Democratic Party.
“If [Democrats] win, Israel is gone. Just remember that. If they win, Israel is gone,” Trump said, per Politico. “So [Jewish voters] have to get out on Nov. 5 and they have to vote for Trump. If they don’t, I think it’s going to be a very terrible situation."
He added that he cannot understand how Jewish voters can support Democrats because they have been "very bad" to the Jewish community.
Trump also maintained that if he had been reelected in 2020 then the war in Israel never would have happened, and acknowledged the deaths of the six Israeli hostages.
“I will keep America safe and I will work with you to make sure Israel is with us for thousands of years,” Trump said. “We’re not going to let go of it.”
The Harris campaign rejected Trump's characterization in a statement to Politico, asserting that Trump would "turn on Israel" if it suited his own interests.
“Donald Trump openly demeans Jewish Americans, proudly dined with a neo-Nazi, and reportedly thinks Adolf Hitler ‘did some good things,’” Harris spokesperson Morgan Finkelstein said. “He has [also] praised neo-Nazis who chanted ‘Jews will not replace us’ as ‘very fine people.’”
Harris has pushed for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, but has also adamantly supported Israel's right to defend itself.
