President-elect Donald Trump dispelled rumors that he would appoint JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon to a position in the administration.

"I respect Jamie Dimon, of JPMorgan Chase, greatly, but he will not be invited to be a part of the Trump Administration. I thank Jamie for his outstanding service to our Country!" he posted on Truth Social.

Earlier this year, reports emerged that Trump was considering Dimon to serve as Treasury secretary, though he promptly denied it. Trump's latest statement comes as he announces his cabinet picks, some of which have shocked Washington.

He has yet to name his choice to lead the Treasury as of press time.
