Trump-endorsed GoFundMe raised $2.6 million for injured, killed rallygoers
Top donations came from Dana White, Kid Rock, and Ben Shapiro
A Trump-backed GoFundMe for the victims and families of individuals harmed during the recent assassination attempt has more than doubled its goal in less than a day.
With nearly 35,000 donations, the campaign has raised "$2,651,213 raised of [its] $1,000,000 goal."
Dana White and the UFC each donated $50,000, as did Kid Rock. Ben Shapiro and The Daily Wire donated $15,000 each.
"President Donald Trump has authorized this account as a place for donations to the supporters and families wounded or killed in today’s brutal and horrific assassination attempt," the campaign's page read. "All donations will be directed to these proud Americans as they grieve and recover. May God bless and unite our nation.
The Trump campaign confirmed its support for the campaign, The Hill reported.
