Trump on Nikki Haley: 'I'm sure she's gonna be on our team'
While Haley has attracted attention as a potential running mate for Trump, he confirmed this month that "Nikki Haley is not under consideration for the V.P. slot, but I wish her well!"
Former President Donald Trump indicated this week that former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley would likely be "on our team" in some capacity following her announcement that she would support him in the November election against President Joe Biden.
"Biden has been a catastrophe... So, I will be voting for Trump," Haley said Wednesday at the Hudson Institute. She had previously challenged Trump in the Republican primary, but dropped out in March.
"Well, I think she's gonna be on our team because we have a lot of the same ideas, the same thoughts. I appreciated what she said; you know, we had a nasty campaign. It was pretty nasty. But she's a very capable person, and I'm sure she's gonna be on our team in some form. Absolutely," Trump said after her endorsement.
