Trump shares message from Zelensky on TRUTH Social requesting a meeting

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Thursday shared a message from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky requesting to meet with him. 

"Days ago, we requested a meeting with you, and I really want to hear your thoughts directly and first hand," the message shared on TRUTH Social reads.

The message described a recent phone call between Trump and Zelensky as "really good."

Vice President Kamala Harris and Zelensky had a press conference together on Thursday to discuss Ukraine's ongoing war with Russia. 

"All of us in Ukraine want to end this war with a just peace," the message reads. "And we know that without America this is impossible to achieve."

Zelensky said he could be in New York on Friday, "which would be a good time" for him and Trump to meet. 

"I would really like for our meeting to take place, as part of our efforts to help us end this war in a just way," he said.
