Trump tells Russia, Ukraine come to an agreement or else 'everyone will be DEAD'

Former President Donald Trump on Monday urged Russia and Ukraine to negotiate an agreement in their war before it is too late.

He warned that if the countries fail to soon reach a peace agreement, "there will be nothing left but death, destruction, and carnage."

Trump's comments come the same day Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia has increased its bombardment of eastern Ukraine's Donbas region.

"It doesn’t make sense that Russia and Ukraine aren’t sitting down and working out some kind of an agreement," Trump wrote in a press release tweeted by his spokesperson Liz Harrington.

Despite some negotiations, Ukraine and Russia have yet to come to a ceasefire agreement nearly two months after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his forces to invade Ukraine.

"This is a war that never should have happened, but it did," Trump said.

"The solution can never be as good as it would have been before the shooting started, but there is a solution, and it should be figured out now – not later –when everyone will be DEAD!" he concluded.

Earlier this month, Russia was accused of committing war crimes in Ukraine, as Ukrainians fleeing their country threatens to create a huge humanitarian crisis.
