Trump unveils new office in Florida, vows to continue his agenda
"The Office will be responsible for managing President Trump's correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities to advance the interests of the United States and to carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism," according to a statement.
The nation's 45th commander-in-chief, Donald Trump, officially "opened the Office of the Former President" on Monday, according to a statement from the office which is located in Florida.
"The Office will be responsible for managing President Trump's correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities to advance the interests of the United States and to carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism," the statement noted. "President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American People," the statement also said.
The House of Representatives on Monday evening transmitted to the Senate the impeachment article passed against then-President Trump earlier this month during the waning days of his four-year term.
The Senate impeachment trial will begin the week of February 8 and Senate President Pro Tempore Patrick Leahy of Vermont will preside.
