Gabbard, RFK Jr. join Trump's presidential transition team
“We look forward to having their powerful voices on the team as we work to restore America’s greatness," a Trump adviser said.
Former Democrat-turned independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard have been added to GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's transition team.
“As President Trump’s broad coalition of supporters and endorsers expands across partisan lines, we are proud that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard have been added to the Trump/Vance Transition team,” says senior campaign adviser Brian Hughes, The Hill newspaper reported Tuesday. “We look forward to having their powerful voices on the team as we work to restore America’s greatness.”
Kennedy on Friday suspended his campaign and backed Trump, a former president seeking reelection. Gabbard, a military reserve officer and former Hawaii Democratic congresswoman, backed Trump on Monday.
