Watch Live: Trump holds press conference after guilty verdict in NY trial
Trump has long contended that the case was politically motivated and part of a broader effort to derail his 2024 bid for the White House.
Former President Donald Trump is holding a press conference at 11:00 a.m. EST on Friday in the wake of a guilty verdict in his New York hush money trial.
Trump was convicted Thursday on 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with a 2016 payment his then-attorney, Michael Cohen, made to Stormy Daniels.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, after the verdict, thanked the jury and highlighted that "Their deliberations led them to a unanimous conclusion beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant, Donald J. Trump, is guilty... to conceal a scheme to corrupt the 2016 election."
