Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., indicated on Tuesday that she may seek the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee, expressing frustration with the party's corporate-friendly approach to governance.

“I think that it’s a shame that the Republican Party as a whole has leadership that is really chilling for corporations instead of worrying about the American people,” she said, according to Politico. “I think that needs to change at a national level.”

"I am considering, after Joe Gruters is done, maybe putting my hat in for the chair of the RNC," she confirmed.

Luna entered Congress in early 2023 and quickly carved a position for herself as one of the more conservative figures in the Republican conference. She is a stalwart ally of President Donald Trump and has echoed the more populist positions of the MAGA platform.

Joe Gruters assumed leadership of the RNC after Michael Whatley stepped down to pursue his bid to represent North Carolina in the Senate. Gruters previously served as RNC treasurer.
