Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent reportedly threatened to punch Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte during a dinner event with senior administration officials, according to Politico, which cited "one eyewitness and four other people familiar with what happened."

The exchange saw Bessent accuse Pulte of criticizing him to President Donald Trump.

“Why the fuck are you talking to the president about me? Fuck you,” Bessent allegedly said. “I’m gonna punch you in your fucking face.”

Apparently, Bessent also suggested that the pair "go outside" and told Pulte “I’m going to fucking beat your ass.”

The parties involved declined to comment to the outlet.
