Biden approval reaches 10-month high, still 11 points underwater: poll
The survey revealed a stark partisan divide in the public's assessment of the commander-in-chief.
President Joe Biden's job approval rating has surged to a 10-month high in the latest Gallup poll.
43% of U.S. adults endorsed Biden's performance, marking his highest score in that survey since August 2022. Nonetheless, 54% of respondents expressed disapproval of his official tenure.
Unsurprisingly, the survey revealed a stark partisan divide in the public's assessment of the commander-in-chief. While 82% of Democrats backed Biden, just 41% of independents did so, as did a mere 6% of Republicans.
Biden is far from the subject of America's most severe scorn, however, as congressional approval has flatlined at 20% since May. An overwhelmingly 76% of Americans disapprove of the legislature. Again, Democrats were the strongest supporters of the government branch, with 31% approving, while 17% of independents and 14% of Republicans shared that sentiment.
The survey appears to fall in line with others with respect to Biden's approval rating. The RealClearPolitics polling average currently shows Biden with a 42.5% approval rating while 53.3% disapprove of him.
