Biden Commerce Secretary on Trump: 'Let's extinguish him, for good'

The Trump campaign is livid over remarks from Biden Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo calling for his opponents to "extinguish him, for good."

"It's just another lie. Like, how did we get here? Let's extinguish him [Trump], for good. We have an answer, we have a remarkably talented candidate," Raimondo said, referencing Vice President Kamala Harris.

Raimondo made the remarks on MSNBC. Her choice of the word "extinguish" drew ire form the Trump campaign in light of the recent assassination attempt on the former president.

"Ten days ago, a deranged Harris supporter tried to assassinate President Trump. Yet, Democrat lunatics continue to spew this dangerous rhetoric," the Trump War Room posted.

Trump has previously blamed the Democrats' incendiary rhetoric for motivating both of the attempts on his life.
