Boebert's Democratic challenger rakes in triple her fundraising haul
The race is likely to again be a close contest and prove a pivotal race in the battle for the House of Representatives in 2024.
Conservative firebrand Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., is facing a formidable challenger in the form of Democrat Adam Frisch, who has managed to amass a sizeable war chest as he pursues a rematch with her in 2024.
The Republican lawmaker narrowly won reelection over Frisch in 2022, holding on to the rural Colorado district, though Democrats appear determined to boot her from Congress, funneling millions to Frisch's campaign this cycle and handing him a sizeable financial advantage.
Frisch's campaign brought in $2.6 million during the second quarter of 2023, more than tripling Boebert's $818,000 haul, according to the Colorado Sun. The numbers mark the second quarter in which Frisch substantially outraised his Republican rival.
Boebert took in $764,000 in the first three months of the year, compared to Frisch's $1.7 million, The Hill reported. The repeated financial success appears to have emboldened the Democrat, with his campaign touting the figures in an email release last week.
"Lauren Boebert is PANICKING... Brand-new fundraising reports filed today with the FEC show that Adam Frisch just massively out-raised Lauren Boebert again – without one dime from corporate PACs," it read.
The race is likely to be a close contest again and prove a pivotal race in the battle for the House of Representatives in 2024.
