Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino clapped back at Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., this week over the latter's criticism of his trench coat that he deemed similar to Nazi uniforms.
Bovino has attracted national attention amid the ongoing immigration enforcement efforts under the Trump administration. Newsom specifically asserted that Bovino purchased "SS garb" from ebay, The Hill reported.
The coat, Bovino said, is "definitely Border Patrol issued." Bovino said he purchased it in roughly 1999, when he began his service as a border patrol agent.
