Georgia GOP Gov. Brian Kemp took a shot at former President Donald Trump's recent comments about not complying if COVID-19 mandates and shutdowns are reinstated.

"The fact is former president Trump led the opposition to my decision to reopen Georgia the first state in the country to do so," Kemp wrote on X, the platform previously called Twitter, Saturday.

"While he listened to Fauci & parroted media talking points, I listened to hardworking Georgians," Kemp continued. "He may not remember, but I sure as hell do."

The Georgia governor was responding to a video of Trump posted by The Daily Caller.

"To every COVID tyrant who wants to take away our freedom Hear these words: WE WILL NOT COMPLY. So, don't even think about it," Trump said in the video.

There have been rumors speculating about potential COVID-19 mask mandates returning, but as of now, the Biden White House has not announced anything.
