Congressman Andy Biggs slams Tim Walz over socialism comments, says he's left of Harris
Biggs said that Walz is one of the more far-left Democrats in the party, potentially more further left than Harris.
Congressman Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., slammed Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz for comparing the system of socialism to being a good neighbor.
"He thinks socialism is a good neighbor policy, that's what he kind of likened it to," Biggs said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.
A video has been going around social media of Walz saying "one person's socialism is another person's neighborliness" on the "White Dudes for Harris" fundraiser since presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris announced he would be her running mate.
Other Republican officials have called him out for his radical stance on abortion and COVID-19 lockdowns.
Biggs said he had expected Harris to pick Democratic Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, since the Grand Canyon state is a swing state.
Biggs added that Walz is one of the more far-left Democrats in the party, even more so than Harris.
"This is the kind of guy where you would say, 'if there's anybody in America that's even further to the left than Kamala Harris that might temper her appearance just a little bit, it's Tim Waltz,'" Biggs said.
