A man who alleged during Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign to have had sex with him about nine years early, resurfaced in an online interview Wednesday with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson detailing the alleged two-day encounter.
The man making allegations, Larry Sinclair, is a convicted fraudster who has claimed since 2008 that he had sex with Obama.
In the Carlson interview, he detailed two days of alleged crack cocaine-fueled sex with the then-future president in 1999.
Sinclair, who now lives in Mexico, told former Carlson, a former Fox News host in a roughly 40-minute interview on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he was in Chicago "looking to party" in 1999 when a limousine driver and introduced him to Obama, who at that time had been married to Michelle Obama for seven years and shared one daughter with her.
Sinclair said he and Obama bought cocaine that evening, and while he snorted it, the future president smoked the drug. He said that he and Obama then hooked up in the back of the limo and he was dropped off at his hotel in the Chicago suburb of Gurnee, Sinclair said.
The next day, Obama showed up at the hotel with more cocaine, which the politician smoked before Sinclair performed oral sex, Sinclair also said.
Sinclair said he thought Obama was "interesting, definitely a con," but he did not learn the future president's identity until 2004, when he saw Obama walk on stage at the Democratic National Convention.
"I hit the floor. I was laughing so hard," he told Carlson, adding that he had no doubt it was the same man he hooked up with five years earlier.
"I don't forget people. He used his real name - he called himself Barack," he said. "I didn't know that much about him. You hook up. Today it's Grindr, back then it's a limo driver or bartender. You ask, and somebody knows something or doesn't."
The Obama foundation did not immediately respond Thursday to Just the News' request for comment.
Sinclair previously detailed the allegations in a 2009 book titled, "Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder?"
The book alleges that Donald Young, who was the choir director of Obama's Chicago church, was also Obama's gay lover who informed Sinclair that he knew about his hookup with Obama, but the campaign would not acknowledge the intimacy nor the drug use. Young was found murdered at his apartment in December 2008.
When he first came forward with the allegations in 2008, Obama had not yet publicly supported same-sex marriage.
Sinclair's allegations have been met with skepticism.
He took a polygraph test regarding the allegations in 2008, which "indicated deception by Sinclair," according to a defamation lawsuit against him, which was ultimately dismissed. It is important to note that polygraphs are inconclusive 13% of the time, according to the American Polygraph Association.
Additionally, Sinclair has been arrested in multiple states since 1981, when he was arrested on a larceny charge in Denver, according to Politico. The D.C. outlet reported in 2008 that Sinclair was disciplined 97 times for assault, threats, drugs and verbal abuse, among other things, with the most recent time being in 1996.
However, Sinclair attacked Politico during his interview with Carlson.
"My criminal record goes from 1980 to 1986. Any sentence I've been given, I've served," he said. "I've never hidden my past in regular, everyday life - why would I hide it with this?"
