California lawmakers were under lockdown in the state Capitol building for hours on Thursday following a police warning of a "credible threat" to the building.
A man reportedly fired on a Kaiser Permanente hospital in Sacramento on Wednesday evening and later made threats that prompted the lockdown, Politico reported. The California Highway Patrol was still searching for the suspect at the time of lockdown, which ended by noon.
Authorities did not elaborate on the nature of the threat and no injuries have been reported from the incident Wednesday evening .
