Dem Rep. Schiff holds narrow lead in Senate bid to replace retiring Sen. Feinstein

California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff holds a narrow lead in the race to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
Schiff claimed 22% support in the survey from UC Berkley, according to The Hill. Fellow Democratic Reps. Katie Porter and Barbara Lee took 20% and 6% respectively. Rep. Rho Khana, who has not declared his candidacy, earned 4% support.
The survey questioned 7,512 registered California Democrats and independents and has a margin of error of +/- 2.5%, meaning the race is still a statistical tie.
The contest remains anyone's to win, however, as roughly 40% of voters remained undecided. California holds open primaries during which voters opt for candidates from different parties and narrow it down to the top two for a general election.

Feinstein's staff announced her retirement earlier this month.
