DeSantis accepts Newsom's challenge to debate
Newsom and DeSantis have feuded intensely in recent months as the Florida governor mounts his presidential campaign.
Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday accepted an invitation from California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom to debate.
Appearing on "Hannity," DeSantis announced that he would accept Newsom's challenge when host Sean Hannity pressed him.
"Absolutely! I'm game. Let's get it done. Just tell me when and where!" DeSantis said. "In one respect, the debate between California and Florida has already been had... people have been voting on that. They've been voting on it with their feet. They have fled California in record numbers. Florida's been the number one state for net in-migration."
"In another sense, this is the debate for the future of our country because you have people like Joe Biden they would love to see the Californication of America," he continued.
