"The corruption is just incredible with what’s happened there," he said.

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis threw his support behind an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden on Tuesday, as House Republicans pursue their investigations into the first family's allegedly illicit business dealings.

"And the inquiry into Biden, I think that they should pursue that... The corruption is just incredible with what’s happened there," DeSantis said on Newsmax.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said last week that the investigations into Biden would "rise from an impeachment inquiry the way the Constitution tells us we have to do this."

Republicans have zeroed in on an alleged bribery scheme involving Ukrainian energy firm Burisma in which company chief Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly hired first son Hunter Biden to secure help from his then-vice president father in quashing a probe from then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

Biden has claimed credit for getting Shokin fired, though he maintains he was following existing U.S. foreign policy. Republicans recently secured and published an FBI document containing confidential human source information alleging that Hunter Biden and another Biden each received $5 million from Zlochevsky for their trouble.

The former Burisma leader also allegedly claimed to possess audio recordings to prove he made the payments, though they have not yet become public, if they in fact exist.
