Convention of States President Mark Meckler said that if the GOP wants to win in 2024, parental rights is the issue to run on.

"I think Republicans and conservatives are doing a good job," Meckler said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "If we do that all across the country--push the idea of parental rights, especially in red states, I think we'll hold our ground."

Meckler said that he believes that the recent parental rights movement that began in 2020 is even more influential than the Tea Party movement of 2009.

"As the guy who came out of the Tea Party movement and helped foster that, I think this movement is more important, bigger and longer lasting," he said, referring to the recent movement of parents rights.

Meckler was the co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots before resigning in 2012.

The parental rights movement that began in 2020 focuses on curriculum taught in schools and advocates for increased transparency for parents when it comes to what their kids are learning.

Meckler said that he believes the events of recent years have encouraged Christians to speak up about these issues.

"What I'm seeing around the country is pretty emboldened Christians," he stated. "It is pulling people out of necessity. Come after our kids and that's pretty much where everybody draws the line.
