More than half of top U.S. medical schools mandate teaching Critical Race Theory

At least 58 of the top-100 medical schools ranked by U.S. News & World Report include 'Critical Race Theory' in their student training and courses, according to an analysis of the Critical Race Training in Education database.

The analysis bv the Daily Caller news outlet published Monday found the roughly 58 schools include CRT lessons and that 46 of them provide students and faculty with resources from progressive authors such as Robin DiAngelo and Ibram X. Kendi.

Some of the top schools have explicitly embraced CRT, which teaches that the U.S. is fundamentally racist and that racism has defined American society. Other schools have not openly publicized CRT lessons, but teach "antiracism" and "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion," the database states.

Harvard, the top-ranked U.S. medical school, pledges on its website to "develop new classes for master’s and PhD students to acknowledge the ways in which racism is embedded in science."

The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, the third-ranked school, says it hosts "[r]ace-based affinity group meetings [as] a space for UCSF residents and fellows to deepen anti-racist work and process the impact of racism on ourselves and our community."
