North Carolina middle school removes bathroom mirrors over TikTok distractions
"We strive to limit distractions so students can focus on learning," the school told parents in a letter.
A North Carolina middle school removed the mirrors from the bathroom after administrators found students were spending too much time filming TikTok videos during class time.
Southern Alamance Middle School in Alamance County noticed students taking bathroom breaks more frequently than expected, and after removing the bathroom mirrors, they noticed a drastic decrease in the number of bathroom breaks, local outlet ABC 11 reported Saturday.
"We strive to limit distractions so students can focus on learning," the school told parents in a letter.
The middle school also instituted a digital hall pass system to have students check in and out of class, which allows teachers to keep track of students better.
