Political apathy is something that has plagued elections ever since the invention of elections. There will always be a group of voters who think it’s all futile. About 39% of Americans are feeling apathetic towards the next presidential election, saying that whoever wins won’t make a much of a difference to them.

A sizable chunk of Americans say they don’t really care who wins the next presidential election. 22% of voters say it won’t make a difference in their lives at all, and 17% say it would only make a minor difference, if anything.

Rasmussen explains why voters feel this way and breaks down these numbers in further detail in today’s podcast.
