Biden says he's proud to be the most 'pro-Union' president in American history

President Joe Biden in his kickoff to his 2024 reelection bid Saturday presented himself as the most "pro-union president in American history.
"There are a lot of politicians in this country who can't say the word 'union,'" Biden said during his speech in Philadelphia. "You know I’m not one of them. I'm proud to say the word. I'm proud to be the most pro-union president in American history."
The event took place at the Philadelphia Convention Center and was made up of a crowd of mostly union workers including those belonging to the AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations).
”We’re coming together,” Biden said during his speech, and was later interrupted as the crowd broke out into a "Four more years" chant.
Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and through his political career he has been a supporter of labor unions, which have in turn supported him.
"Look folks, I've said many times that Wall Street didn't build America. You did," Biden told the union workers. "Not a joke, I've been saying this for a long time, long before I ran for president. The middle class built this country and you built the middle class."
His speech was interrupted at least once by a chant of "Four more years."
Biden then began to list union jobs that have contributed to the country's growth and success including steel workers, nurses, firefighters and police officers.
