Clintons endorse Kamala Harris for president

Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president. The announcement came less than two hours after President Joe Biden announced his intention to drop out of the race.

The Clintons' statement pledged support for Harris: "We are honored to join the President in endorsing Vice President Harris and will do whatever we can to support her."

The Clintons praised Biden's "extraordinary career of service" and work on the economy post-pandemic. "By any measure, he has advanced our founders' charge to build a more perfect union," the Clintons' statement read.
