CPAC Chairman says that President Biden will likely campaign from 'his basement' again in 2024

Schlapp said that this 2024 presidential election will be about Biden's record as president

Chairman of the Conservative Political Action Conference Matt Schlapp said Wednesday that President Biden will likely not campaign in-person much during the 2024 presidential election.

"Get ready folks for some engineered, contrived controversy that Joe Biden has to stay in his basement again for the upcoming presidential campaign," Schlapp said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Because as we all know, he doesn't really have the physical or mental stamina to get out there and run a real race."

President Joe Biden announced earlier this week that he and Vice President Kamala Harris would be running for reelection in 2024.

Schlapp predicted that former President Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for president.

"It looks like Donald Trump's going to be the Republican nominee and I don't think there's any place he won't go and pass out pizzas and McDonald's cheeseburgers and everything else," he continued.

He added that the central issue of the 2024 election will be Biden's record as president for the past four years.

"It's about Joe Biden's record," Schlapp stated. "It's about China on the rise in America. It's about not even protecting borders when it comes to spying from China. It's about not protecting our southern border. It's about the economy which has people hurting. Joe Biden's gonna have to explain why anybody not even would want four more years of this, but four more days of this."
