DeSantis campaign says it received over $1 million after first GOP presidential primary debate
“Ron DeSantis showed Wednesday night that he is a proven leader who will deliver results as president," DeSantis' campaign manager said.
Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis' presidential campaign announced that it has received over $1 million after the first GOP primary debate.
The New York Post and ABC News both confirmed the number.
“Ron DeSantis showed Wednesday night that he is a proven leader who will deliver results as president, and we are thrilled with the flood of support we have received since his debate victory,” DeSantis's campaign manager James Uthmeier said, according to the New York Post.
“We look forward to building on this momentum in the weeks and months ahead as the governor continues to outwork everyone in this race as he lays out his vision to reverse our nation’s decline and revive the American Dream," he continued.
GOP mega donor Hal Lambert told ABC News that a lot of people were very impressed with DeSantis's performance during the first debate.
"He got his name out there, he got his message out there and so many people haven't seen it," Lambert told the outlet. "The more we do these, people are going to realize he's the only one on that stage that has a chance of beating Trump and is the only one that has a chance to become president."
While former President Donald Trump continues to dominate in the majority of political polls, DeSantis is often the runner-up.
