Former United Nations Ambassador and 2024 GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley cancels all in-person campaign events in Iowa after the storm was hit with a blizzard warning.

Instead, Haley will host virtual town halls with Iowa voters, as the weather advisory for Des Moines warned of "life threatening wind chills" throughout the weekend and a "very dangerous winter storm," according to The Messenger.

As of now, former President Donald Trump, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis have not canceled their campaign events.

A spokesperson for Haley's campaign team said that the change wouldn’t “stop us from ensuring Iowans hear Nikki’s vision for a strong and proud America,” according to the outlet.

The winter storm in Iowa is expected to bring six to ten inches of snow to the state over the weekend.

Local media reports that Jan. 15 will be the coldest day for caucuses in recent history with an expected high of -2 degrees.
