Former President Donald Trump says that Pennsylvania needs a senator who can make a case for them, and Oz is the better option.

"Oz is a very good man who wants to debate and Fetterman is actually somebody that always got a lot of votes, but now he's not the same person," Trump said in a sit-down interview with "Just the News, No Noise."

John Fetterman is running for the U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania against Dr. Mehmet Oz. One of the issues for Fetterman as a candidate is his health. He suffered a stroke back in May, but says that it has not slowed down his campaign, according to the New York Times.

"The people of Pennsylvania need somebody that's going to be out there and making a case for Pennsylvania, whether it's energy which by the way, the Democrats have killed the energy industry in Pennsylvania, and obviously, Texas, and Oklahoma and every other place, Trump continued. "But you look at what's happened with what they've done to jobs and Fetterman cannot go and do it effectively. And Oz is a very capable guy."

President Trump said in the interview that in order for elections to be free and fair, America needs to go back to paper ballots.

"They should go to one-day voting," the former president said. "They should go to paper ballots and you would have elections that everybody could be proud of. Because right now this country is a laughingstock all over the world."

According to Trump, Republicans have a great shot at taking back the House during the 2022 midterms, and they should focus on crime going into the elections.

"The Republicans have a big advantage on crime. I mean, how can you not have a big advantage when you look at defund the police," he said. "These people (Democrats) still want, and they still talk about defunding the police. So I think it really should be very good for Republicans."
