Minnesota GOP congressman slams Walz's record in the state: 'very unpopular'

Stauber's remarks were part of a wide-ranging discussion on Monday's "Just the News, No Noise," where he disparaged numerous policies that the congressman said has made Walz “very unpopular” in Minnesota.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the vice presidential candidate for the Democrat party, made at least 30 trips to China, many while he was a member of his state’s National Guard, said Rep. Pete Stauber, R-Minnesota.

Stauber noted that James Comer, R-Kentucky, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chair, has subpoenaed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to find out what his agency knows about alleged connections between Walz and the Chinese Communist Party.

“Comer may be on to something in his oversight committee, so it’s going to be wait-and-see,” Stauber said. “I’m sure that James Comer has information that he wants to share with the intelligence community and the American people involving Tim Walz.”

Stauber's remarks were part of a wide-ranging discussion on Monday's edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show, where he disparaged numerous policies that the congressman said has made Walz “very unpopular” in Minnesota.

The congressman said that under Walz, it is easy for illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses, free health care, and college tuition, and said Walz "wants to make Minnesota a sanctuary state” so that those who enter the country without permission won’t be punished for doing so.

“We had a $19 billion surplus; he turned it into a $10 billion tax increase,” Stauber said of Walz’s tenure in Minnesota.

“Some of the things you don’t know are, Tim Walz signed into law experimental sex change surgery for kids as young as 11 years old without parental permission,” Stauber continued.

Stauber claimed that under Walz, Minnesota treats pedophilia as a "protected class," and that mainstream media outlets rarely report the governor’s more extreme positions.

He also attacked Walz’s running mate, Vice President Kamala Harris, and her boss, President Joe Biden, for overseeing a porous southern border.

“We just found out over 13,000 convicted murderers are now in the United States,” he said, adding that about 2,000 illegal aliens have stateside court dates on charges of murder, rape and sexual assault, including on children.

“And lastly,” Stauber said, “this administration has been the most anti-domestic mining administration in the history of our country.”

He said that while Northeastern Minnesota has the largest untapped copper-nickel find in the world, under Biden-Harris the leases were pulled for "partisan reasons," then the administration entered into memorandums of understanding with the Congo where 15 of 19 mines are owned by the Chinese Communist Party.

“They would rather enter into contracts with China, who use slave labor,” he said. “Their policies ... do not put the American worker, do not put the American miner, first.”
