The National Republican Senatorial Committee released a digital ad Thursday that targeted Georgia Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff for requiring attendees at his rally to provide photo identification and yet does not support requiring ID to vote in elections. 

Ossoff, who is running for reelection this year, has railed against legislation that would make it a requirement for voters to present a photo ID in order to cast their ballot, including the original SAVE Act that passed the House last year. 

The 19-second video highlights Ossoff's "hypocrisy" of requiring attendees at his campaign events to show identification. 

The video includes campaign workers at multiple events asking the public to show their government-issued IDs to enter and ends with the phrase "ID for rally, not to vote."

"Jon Ossoff says one thing in Georgia, then turns around and does another in DC," NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia said in a statement. "Most Democrats and Republicans agree: requiring IDs to vote in federal elections is a no-brainer. Ossoff is beholden to the radical left."

The ad comes ahead of the 2026 midterm elections and shortly after House Republicans passed the SAVE America Act, which requires Americans to show proof of citizenship to register to vote and to show ID when voting.
