Progressives rally behind Rep. Cori Bush ahead of Democratic primary
Cori Bush's primary is one of the most expensive House primaries.
Progressive politicians rally behind Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., amid her primary election Tuesday, where she will face St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell.
Reps. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., recently had a Zoom call with other Democrats where they urged voters to get behind Bush in the Democratic primary.
"We have just ONE DAY ahead of us before primary Election Day. Come join Cori & some very special guests on Election Day eve to rally together and get out the vote!" Bush's campaign announced on Instagram Monday, according to Fox News.
Bell is facing Bush in Tuesday's primary and has gotten the support of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Federal Election Commission records show.
Bush has faced criticism during her time in Congress over her positions on Israel and its ongoing war against Hamas. She has voted against emergency funding for Israel and accused the country of committing a genocide.
Bell also has the support of a pro-crypto PAC, Axios reports.
NPR reports that Bush's primary is one of the most expensive House primaries in recent history.
