Second presidential debate to take place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia
The debate will be hosted by "World News Tonight" anchor and managing editor David Muir and ABC News Live "Prime" anchor Linsey Davis, and will air at 9 p.m. on Sept. 10.
The second presidential debate will take place in Philadelphia next month, ABC News announced on Friday, at the National Constitution Center.
Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, and former President Donald Trump have already agreed to take part in the debate. It will be the first debate between Trump and Harris, since the first presidential debate in May was between Trump and President Joe Biden.
The venue has hosted previous town halls with Biden and Trump when Biden was a presidential candidate in 2020. It is located near Independence Hall, where the historic Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed.
In order to qualify for the debate, candidates must meet certain criteria, including appearing on the ballots in enough states that they could theoretically win the election in November. They also have to garner 15% support in four separate national polls of registered or likely voters.
The debate, which takes place on Sept. 10, will be hosted by World News Tonight" anchor and managing editor David Muir and ABC News Live "Prime" anchor Linsey Davis, and will air at 9 p.m. It will be available for streaming on the ABC News Live website and channel, along with the streaming services Disney+, and Hulu.
