A top aide to former President Donald Trump, Brian Jack, filed on Thursday to run for the House of Representatives in Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District.

Jack, 36, who’s from Fayette County, will run for Georgia GOP Rep. Drew Ferguson's seat, after the congressman announced his retirement last December, Politico reported

On Thursday, Trump encouraged Jack to run in a Truth Social post

“Brian Jack joined my Campaign in 2016, and he has diligently worked by my side for the last 8 years, serving with distinction as my White House Political Director in helping to enact our America First agenda that delivered historic results for the American People,” Trump wrote.

“Should he decide to run, Brian Jack has my Complete and Total Endorsement!” Trump later added.

Jack was the national delegate director for Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Following his role as political director in the White House and Trump’s 2020 election loss, Jack worked for then-House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy while remaining close to Trump and helping with the 2022 midterm endorsements.

Jack has been behind Trump’s efforts to win GOP congressional endorsements in the 2024 presidential primary and will continue as an adviser to the campaign.
