Trump refocuses campaign on battleground states
Trump will hold events in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania this week
Former President Donald Trump is refocusing his campaign on battleground states after the Democratic National Convention last week. The Republican nominee will hold two campaign events in key states this Thursday and one event in another on Friday.
A Michigan event will focus on the economy. Trump will visit Alro Steel, a Potterville, Michigan, company Thursday afternoon. After the Potterville event, Trump will visit La Crosse, Wisconsin, Florida Politics reported.
Michigan and Wisconsin are considered swing states important to Trump's success or that of his opponent, the Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump will visit another key swing state, Pennsylvania, on Friday.
Trump won Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania in 2016, but President Joe Biden carried those states in 2020.
Trump plans to address manufacturing and inflation during his Michigan event.
"For nearly four years, the Harris-Biden economic policies have put unnecessary stress and pressure on Michigan families," the Trump campaign said in a press release before the event.
