North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum touts Trump's energy policies during RNC speech

North Dakota GOP Gov. Doug Burgum on Wednesday praised former President Donald Trump's energy policies during his speech at the Republican National Convention. 

“When President Trump unleashes American energy, we unleash American prosperity," Burgum said. 

He went on to praise some of Trump's policies, such as cutting red tape and cutting taxes.

Burgum went on to criticize how President Joe Biden handled energy policies, saying that his "Green Deal" might as well have been written by China, Russia and Iran. 

He added that Biden has started a "war on energy" that is harming every American, as the increasing price of gas raises prices nationwide. 

Burgum said that Trump would lead the United States once again to energy dominance if elected in 2024.

“Unleashing American energy dominance is our path back to prosperity and peace through strength," he said.
