The chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, John Barrasso, of Wyoming, has introduced an amendment that will block President Joe Biden’s pause on export permits for liquified natural gas.

The amendment was in introduced Thursday and has been tacked onto a Senate aid package that provides funding for Ukraine, Israel, Indo-Pacfic security and humanitarian assistance to people around the world, The Hill reports.

The bill passed a procedural vote the same day it was introduced, after border security measures were removed and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said he’d oversee a fair process on amendments if the Senate moved the bill forward.

“If it truly is open for amendments, there will be an amendment – and I will bring one on,” Barrasso told The Hill.
