Trump to host first Crypto Summit on March 7
Attendees will include prominent founders, CEOs, and investors from the crypto industry, as well as members of the President’s Working Group on Digital Assets.
President Donald Trump will host a White House Crypto Summit on Friday, March 7. The event will be the first of its kind, according to a White House announcement.
The president will deliver remarks at the event. Attendees will include prominent founders, CEOs, and investors from the crypto industry, as well as members of the president’s Working Group on Digital Assets. The Summit will be chaired by the White House A.I. and Crypto Czar David Sacks, and administered by the working group’s executive director, Bo Hines.
In his first week after taking office, Trump signed Executive Order 14178, which is aimed at supporting the “responsible growth and use of digital assets … across all sectors of the economy.” The Biden administration, the White House announcement said, unfairly prosecuted the digital asset space, and Trump’s vision represents a new era for digital financial technology.
“The administration is committed to providing a clear regulatory framework, enabling innovation, and protecting economic liberty,” the White House said.
