Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Vice Chairman David Hogg on Thursday called for DNC Chairman Ken Martin to resign amid fallout from Martin's delayed release of a 2024 autopsy report on the presidential election.

The DNC on Thursday released an unedited and incomplete, 192-page report that featured considerable red-letter comments. Martin initially opted to not release the document but later did so after concluding that his decision had caused the chaos he hoped to prevent.

“It’s clear that Chair Ken Martin has lost the confidence of his staff, supporters, and most importantly, millions of Americans counting on the DNC to help Democrats win up and down the ballot in 2026 and 2028,” Hogg said, according to The Hill. “Ken Martin should resign, and the DNC should select a new leader who demonstrates competence, creativity, moral clarity, and a relentless commitment to actually changing the broken Democratic Party brand."

Hogg served as Martin's vice chair until 2025, when the party voided his election to the post based on gender diversity requirements. He did not run for the post in the subsequent election.

Hogg, for his part, routinely feuded with Martin during their time in leadership, with Hogg wanting to pursue a more significant revamp of the party and separately working to challenge incumbents.
