Florida congressman changes vote from McCarthy to Jordan in third Speaker vote

As of press time, McCarthy appears poised to lose the third speaker vote, with enough Republicans withholding their support to deny him the gavel.

Florida Republican Rep. Byron Donalds has abandoned California Republican Rep. Kevin McCarthy, voting for Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan in the third Speaker vote.

Donalds previously cast his ballot twice for McCarthy, but ultimately joined his detractors in supporting Jordan.

As of press time, McCarthy appears poised to lose the third speaker vote, with enough Republicans withholding their support to deny him the gavel.
