Former Trump official Hogan Gidley expected to advise Speaker Johnson: report

Gidley is currently a senior adviser at America First Policy Institute which has other former Trump officials working there.

Former Trump official Hogan Gidley is contracted to House Speaker Mike Johnson as a communications consultant, according to reports.

Gidley, who served as former President Donald Trump's principal deputy press secretary while in the White House and as national press secretary during the 2020 campaign, is expected to advise Johnson's political and official offices, sources told Axios.

The sources also said that Johnson wants to be able to properly amplify Trump's voting record and have contact with former President Donald Trump's campaign as the election gets closer.

Gidley has also worked for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa.

Gidley is currently a senior adviser at America First Policy Institute, an organization staffed by many other former Trump officials.
