The late Sen. Lindsey Graham will lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda on July 28, as part of farewell and memorial services for the Republican senator in Washington, D.C., and his home state of South Carolina, Senate Majority Leader John Thune announced Tuesday.

The viewing will be followed later in the day by an invitation-only funeral at the Washington National Cathedral to be attended by President Donald Trump.

The funeral is being arranged by Graham's sister, Sen. Darline Graham.

On the following day, July 29, service will begin at the South Carolina State House in Columbia, before proceeding to First Baptist Church for the main service. Graham will be interred privately following the service.

Graham died unexpectedly earlier this month, prompting Gov. Henry McMaster, R-S.C., to appoint his sister to complete his term. She has indicated she will seek a full term in office in the November election.
