Prominent American cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough said it was "reckless" that the COVID-19 vaccine was recommended to kids.

"It's reckless," he said on the Monday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "I'm a cardiologist. Let me tell you, let's say a child with Down Syndrome has congenital heart disease...this is the last thing you'd want the child to take — a vaccine that causes heart damage."

Numerous lawmakers and doctors have expressed concern about the safety of the vaccine and whether the federal government and vaccine makers fully disclosed the risks.

"If the heart is already weakened, or it's already had surgery, it's far more likely to have consequences of myocarditis, including heart failure or cardiac arrest," McCullough said. "The FDA just rubber-stamped these through."

In January 2024, Florida's top doctor called for the halt of COVID-19 mRNA vaccine use.

"They promised there were going to be large, prospective clinical trials," he said. "None of that was done, and now America is furious at this most recent approval."
