Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., on Monday held a roundtable with patients, doctors, families, and nurses about their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The senator's office billed the event as the "first event devoted entirely to what happened inside hospitals." The panelists, for their part, recounted their experiences with mistreatment and other issues at hospitals during the pandemic.

Since the end of the pandemic, Johnson has been one of the leading voices for accountability and transparency with respect to both the pandemic's origins and the nation's response.
