Rep. Donalds says the GOP has never been more united as first presidential debate approaches
The debate will begin at 9 p.m. EST and be moderated by anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.
Congressman Byron Donalds, R-Fla., said Thursday that the Republican Party has never been more united as the first presidential debate approaches.
"I think Republican voters are locked in," Donalds said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Our party is locked in and we are more ... unified at this point than we've been as Republicans."
Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are expected to square off in the first presidential debate that will be held on CNN on Thursday.
The debate will begin at 9 p.m. EST and be moderated by anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.
Donalds explained that he believes that there are some disaffected Democrats and some independents who still don't know who they will vote for.
He predicted that Trump will do well in the debate and deliver a strong message all Americans can get behind.
"Is there a better way in America?" Donalds asked. "Donald J. Trump's agenda, the America First agenda [and] the MAGA agenda is that path forward."
