President Joe Biden is projected to win the New Hampshire Democratic primary through a write-in campaign, according to the Associated Press.

The Democratic Party opted to move its first nominating contest to South Carolina, putting it in conflict with the Granite State, which held the party primary first anyway.

Biden did not appear on the ballot, resulting in the write-in campaign. He faces Minnesota Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips and Hollywood guru Marianne Williamson for the party nomination, but retains a substantial polling lead at the national level.

The AP called the race shortly after polls closed. As of 8:15 p.m., President Joe Biden held 1.3% of the vote, compared to Phillips's 20.4%, with 72.9% listed as unprocessed write-ins and 28% of precincts reporting. The write-ins will gradually be sorted throughout the counting process and most are expected to break for Biden.
